Cedar Farm Galleries
was set up twenty years ago to promote and sell British crafts. Over
the years it has developed into a well-respected outlet for art and
crafts, with several retail studios. These are called art@cedarfarm,
and are art and design based businesses in nine studio spaces.
Recently, another barn has been used as an activity centre, and now
includes a Beauty Treatment Studio, the great Pots of Fun and the fun
Wickerfish Art Studio and a room for courses. Regular exhibitions are
held to generate interest in British art and craft work, and Farmers'
Markets, a Summer Festival, and of course Christmas shopping evenings

Mid Pennine Arts was formed four decades
ago to offer cultural activities to East Lancashire. The organisation
works in Pendle and Rossendale as well as Burnley and Hyndburn,
though a number of recent projects have crossed these
boundaries. Pennine Arts offers a overview of the arts and works with
local organisations to develop a diverse range of projects and host
contemporary exhibitions all through the year in the gallery. They
also have an education department that works with education
establishments in East Lancashire. And they are co-ordinators for
Panopticons and Land projects, and in addition they they help local
groups to put on arts festivals and events.
