Burnley - Red Triangle Cafe

Vegetarian cafe and restaurant which hosts occasional music nights. Mains during the day and  evenings might include Moroccan couscous with pumpkin seeds. Desserts might include fruit filled oat pancake with soya milk custard. House wine by the bottle or glass. Children welcome in the day, and a high chair is available. No credit cards.
Open: Tuesday to Saturday 10.30-19.00, Friday and Saturday night 19.00-22.30 (you must book, as the cafe is only open for bookings in evenings). Closed Sun & Mon.

Colne - Jim's cafe

Licensed vegetarian restaurant with many world food influences. There are specials which change weekly, including Polynesian sweet and sour - a delicious mix of pineapple, deep-fried tofu, green beans, Chinese leaves, bean sprouts, gomasio, peppers, brown rice and crispy noodles. There is always something vegan but a greater choice is available with advance notice. House wine by the carafe; organic wine by the bottle. Children welcome, though there's no high chair. No credit cards, cash machine outside. Occasional live music. Open: Thu-Sun 19.00 to 23.00 or later.
